Rafaella Renatovna (2001) is a visual artist born in Moscow, Russia. Her works move between photography, painting, and writing.
During her years abroad, long periods of observation and introspection gradually shaped her artistic vision, rooted in a quiet attention to human presence, absence and urban space.
Having travelled through more than 30 countries, her work is influenced by encounters with different cultures, landscapes, and cities. She is particularly drawn to places when time leaves visible and invisible traces.
She is currently travelling, but works mainly between Spain and Italy.

Practice
Through her work Rafaella Renatovna explores introspection, memory, and the fragile relationship between the individual and the surrounding world. For her, the act of creating is inseparable from inner observation. Art becomes a space where perception and reflection meet. As she writes: “The art we do is like a mirror — we reflect our purest inner side.”
Her practice developed through movement and solitude, where distance became familiar and silence began to take form. Over time, this turned into a quiet dialogue — with the world, with nature, and with something that often remains unnamed.
Her photography follows the wandering movement of the eye: reflections, empty streets, landscapes, fragments of architecture, and unnoticed moments. These images do not seek spectacle, but remain in atmosphere, in silence, and in subtle presence.
In her drawings, Rafaella returns to certain signs — repeating them, transforming them — as if tracing a language she does not fully understand, yet instinctively follows.
Whether through photography or painting, creation becomes a moment of vulnerability for her: “When I create, my soul becomes naked and my inner voice feels louder.”
Alongside her visual work, Rafaella develops written reflections in her notebook — an evolving archive of thoughts, images, and impressions gathered together through travel and observation.
