Lucky Friday The 13th
13.03.26

3 am. Barcelona - Brussels flight. Almost empty Terminal 2. Sweet British breakfast, cold and foggy windows, sleepy passengers (me too). Melancholic live-piano music in the middle of the airport, the sound bouncing off the walls and spreading... Third little pipe-pause under the freezing Barcelonese stars.

Have seen the sunrise just from the God's altitude. Magical. When I see such landscapes I feel like if I were an old cartographer... lost in the wast fields. What a metaphoric privilege seeing our world from above, like birds. Plane is also a bird, but an artificial one.

Bozar - Centre For Fine Arts, Brussels, 2026
Belleza E Brutteza Exhibition

The rare one. Amazing how he managed to capture even something unattractive in such a charming and magnetic way.

The End. Kind regards,

Felt my bones. Cold and wet. 9 in the morning. Decided to enter the random museum in front of me to get a cup of coffee. It was Bozar, I had no idea. Tourist groups waiting for the exhibition to start, I look at them while in a queue and barrista whispers "Now our Queen will go down the stairs". It was the Queen Mathilde of Belgium... visiting the exhibion "Belleza e Brutteza". Art works from Italian Renaissance period discovering the Beauty and Ugliness, and the relationship of these two always going alongside. I thought of Umberto Eco immediately and of the royal grace of Her Majesty, of course.
